The Manager of IT Applications is responsible for all informationtechnology applications within Morris Hospital & Healthcare Centers\'application portfolio. The Manager\'s role is to plan. coordinate, andsupervise all activities related to the design, development, testing,and implementation of software applications in support of the hospital.The Manager of IT Applications is also responsible for maintaining,supporting, and upgrading existing systems and applications based on thepriorities set by the Board of Directors, Executive Team, and the CIO.
The key responsibilities of the Manager of IT Applications role includeworking with other IT leaders, business and clinical analysts, seniordatabase administrators, and developers to build and execute on detailedproject plans. As part of the overall responsibility, the Manager of ITApplications consults and coordinates with 3rd party technical supportorganizations as necessary to deliver on system implementation andsupport activities.
The Manager of IT Applications to provide leadership for the following:alignment of IT objectives and programs to hospital wide objectives andstrategies; maximization of in-house versus outsourced services;establishment of strategic provider partnerships; alignment of IT riskmanagement with organizational risk management (e.g. IT risk managementwithin IT productivity/objectives);optimization and design ofhospital-wide processes via IT; defining and adjusting IT standards andtechnologies; and optimization of costs and services through a mix ofinternal and external resources.
This role participates in short and long-term systems planning, will beaccountable for the delivery of multiple projects at a time, and managesa team of technical professionals.
QUALIFICATIONS
Professional/Educational
Bachelor\'s degree, ideally in computer systems design or computerscience (or equivalent work experience).
10+ years\' experience in information systems with 5+ years\' experienceleading software projects and teams.
Knowledge and experience delivering Healthcare clinical systems isstrongly preferred.
Proven experience in overseeing the direction, development, andimplementation of software solutions.
Advanced knowledge of Software Development Best Practices and SDLC .
Good project management skills and substantial exposure to project-basedwork structures, project lifecycle models, etc.
Ability to quickly develop an excellent understanding of theorganization\'s goals and objectives.
Experience in leading project teams that leverage a combination ofin-house and 3rd party technical resources.
Strong leadership and motivational skills.

Exceptional communication and negotiation skills; articulate andpersuasive.
