  As part of the Center for Clinical Excellence, the Regulatory and Policy CQI Specialist designs, directs, and facilitates implementation of effective systems to evaluate compliance throughout Loyola University Health system. Reports to the Regional Director of Regulatory & Accreditation. Scope includes coordination with Hospital and Ambulatory leadership. Coordinates strategies, education, and monitoring to promote a culture of quality and patient safety and to assure ongoing regulatory compliance.

  REGULATORY COMPLIANCE: Assesses compliance with standards and

  National Patient Safety Goals as required by the Joint Commission and

  regulatory agencies (CMS, IDPH). Monitors changes in the standards and

  is the organization’s expert resource. Coordinates implementation of

  actions required for ongoing survey readiness. Performs the annual

  focused standards assessment and monitors ongoing organizational

  compliance with the standards through the continuous survey readiness

  program. Plans and coordinates on-site survey processes and the

  organization’s response to survey findings.

  MEASUREMENT & ANALYSIS: Establishes key metrics, measurement

  processes, and data analysis to monitor progress toward project goals.

  Regularly communicates outcomes selected for measurement or

  improvement by teams; coordinates processes to aggregate data for

  trending, analyzes trends and develops recommendations for future

  interventions. Conducts Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) to identify

  and mitigate potential risk points.
