Job Overview
The Associate Clinical Manager (Clinical Nurse Supervisor) is responsiblefor managing a unit/department by implementing and maintaining specificpolicies, procedures, and guidelines; leading team members in providingdirect patient care by demonstrating expert clinical knowledge; ensuringcompliance with quality and safety initiatives and practices; and partneringwith a multidisciplinary team in meeting the clinical needs of patients andfamilies The Associate Clinical Manager also provides leadership andmanagement to unit/department team members. Finally, the AssociateClinical Manager serves as a charge nurse by preparing schedules and assigningteam members to patients; overseeing the admission, discharge, andgeneral flow of patients; and monitoring and ordering medicines and supplies.The Main Operating Room at Anschutz campus is a 14 OR unit that treatschildren and adolescents for any level of injury or illness. The unit supports24 different surgical specialties and performs more than 23,000 cases ayear. We are a unique, yet impressive team comprised of bachelor'sprepared nurses, certified surgical technicians, anesthesia technicians,anesthesia providers, and surgeons. The staff in the OR are proud to providesafe quality of care to our patients. We perform a wide variety of surgicalprocedures including abdominal and thoracic surgery, bariatric surgery,cleft, craniofacial, and plastic reconstructive surgery, colorectalsurgery, cardiac surgery, ENT surgery, fetal surgery, burntreatment, trauma surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery,ophthalmology surgery, gynecologic procedures, transplant surgery, andurology surgery. Our OR nurses and surgical technologists receive extensivetraining and education in all surgical specialties promoting communication,teamwork, and critical thinking. Qualifications
EDUCATION - Bachelor's degree in Nursing. Master's degree in Nursing or adirectly related health care field is preferred.EXPERIENCE - Three years of clinical experience. Previous OR Nurseexperience strongly preferred.LICENSURE - Registered Nurse (RN)CERTIFICATION(S) - BLS/CPR from the American Heart Association with atleast 6 months left before expiration is required upon hire. ANCC recognizedcertification in clinical specialty within one year of hire.
