　　Job Summary

　　Reviews medical records, records diet histories, and assesses the nutritional status of patients. Teaches patients and family members the therapeutic diet and modifies the current diet to make lifestyle changes. Monitors patient food tolerances and intake. Assesses patients on parenteral and enteral feedings. Records the assessment on the Progress Note and/or by computerized charting. Serves as a resource for medical nutrition therapy for the community.

　　Job Requirements

　　Minimum Education Requirement:

　　Bachelor of Science in Dietetics/ Nutrition or related degree from an accredited college or university. Active membership in a national professional organization preferred (i.e., American Dietetic Association, American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition, American Diabetes Association, National Kidney Foundation, American Association of Diabetes Educators) in order to maintain current knowledge and trends in the profession. Active participation in local and state organizations is encouraged.

　　Minimum Experience Requirement:

　　Prior experience in clinical dietetics, teaching or counseling is desired. Excellent customer service skills required.

　　Minimum License Requirement:

　　Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration or a RDE if course work has been completed and the registration examination is scheduled.

　　$31.39 - $44.89
