Role overview
As an SEO Specialist at Calo, you will spearhead our organic search strategies, focusing on enhancing our visibility on multiple search engines. Your role involves creating, implementing, and optimizing SEO strategies to drive organic traffic and improve search engine rankings. You’ll analyze and improve our website's performance in search engine results to boost organic growth and enhance user engagement while ensuring they align with our business objectives. You’ll also collaborate with our marketing team to develop SEO-friendly content and website structures that resonate with our target audience, ultimately contributing to Calo's growth and online presence.
Main Responsibilities
Create and implement SEO strategies that promote Calo’s organic positions on search results
Utilize SEO software like SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics for keyword research, site audits, and performance analysis
Optimize website content for search engines, focusing on Calo-oriented themes
Analyze SEO data and performance, adjusting strategies as necessary
Collaborate with content creators to ensure SEO best practices are integrated with Calo’s health-focused content
Design and manage website taxonomy to support SEO objectives and healthy concepts
Stay up-to-date with SEO trends, with a focus on the health and food industries
Advise on content development from an SEO perspective, emphasizing healthy eating topics
Manage link-building and backlink strategies within the health and nutrition niche
Work with web development teams to ensure SEO-friendly website design and functionalities
Ideal Candidate
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or any related field
3+ years of experience in a SEO role at a B2C company
Proficiency in both English and Arabic
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Knowledge & Competency
Extensive experience in implementing and managing SEO strategies
Proven track record of achieving significant improvements in search engine rankings and organic traffic
Proficiency in SEO tools and platforms such as Google Analytics, SEMrush, Moz, Ahrefs, etc
Strong analytical skills, with experience in interpreting SEO data and conducting A/B testing for optimization
Creative approach to identifying and targeting keywords and topics relevant to our target audience
Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and web development practices as they relate to SEO is a plus
Skill in optimizing website content, structure, and meta-data for search engines
Keen interest in staying updated with the latest trends and algorithms in search engine optimization
Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, particularly in a fast-paced, growth-oriented technology company
Innovative and strategic in developing SEO campaigns that effectively engage the target audience
Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels for improved SEO performance
