Baton Rouge Community College (BRCC) seeks to fill the position of Clinical Coordinator. The Clinical Coordinator is located in the Nursing and Allied Health Division. This is a full-time position.

COMPENSATION:

Required Education
Bachelor's degree in healthcareCertifications/Licenses Required:
Registered Diagnostic Medical SonographerRequired Experience:
Two (2) years of teaching at a college or university

Job Concepts
The Diagnostic Medical Sonography Clinical Coordinator to monitor sonography students in clinical areas, teach theory in the classroom, and demonstrate clinical skills in the practice laboratory. Additionally, the Clinical Coordinator's responsibilities include advising students, assessing courses, serving on college committees, participating in extracurricular activities, community service, and professional development. The Clinical Coordinator may be required to teach evenings and weekends as well as on-line, dual enrollment, and service-learning courses.
Coordinate the clinical component of the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program.
Evaluate and ensure the effectiveness of clinical experiences for the concentration(s) students are enrolled in. Provide clinical instruction and document the evaluation and progression of clinical performance leading to clinical competence. Work with the NAH program coordinator and the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program director to establish new affiliations and maintain availability of current affiliates. Schedule drug screenings and background checks for clinical students. Create student site assignment lists and forward to Program Director for approval and to NAH program coordinator. Continuous monitor clinical student performance through onsite visits and other methods, as appropriate.
