　　TDA is seeking a highly qualified R&D chemist with a passion for developingadvanced technologies and translating them into real-world applications. Thisposition works within an interdisciplinary group developing innovativecoatings and corrosion inhibitors. This individual will be responsible forformulating and applying coatings, synthesizing corrosion inhibitors,evaluating corrosion resistance through electrochemical techniques, andtesting coating physical properties. This individual will also performresearch and development tasks including materials characterization, dataanalysis, and documentation of their work through presentations and writtensummaries. They will be expected to be able to operate independently tocomplete challenging assignments, and interface with other research teams.

　　Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, or related discipline0-5 years of experience post-degree advanced technology-related R&DLab experience, particularly in wet chemistry, electrochemistry,corrosion, paints/coatings, or polymersExperience working with hazardous materials, such as compressed gases,cryogenic liquids, acids, bases, oxidizers, or solventsA willingness and interest in expanding into new skill sets and researchfieldsExperience with analytical instrumentation: electrochemical methods,EIS, FTIR, UV-Vis, LC, GC, mass spectroscopy, SEM-EDX, , XRD, microscopy, etc.Experience in performing background scientific literature searches andapplying concepts/ideas found in literatureExperience in data interpretation, analysis, and reportingStrong work ethic and independently motivatedAbility to work well independently and in a team environmentAbility to deliver high quality work under tight deadlinesExcellent records keepingExcellent chemical hygiene practicesExcellent English verbal and written communication skills

　　Staff are expected to work on several projects simultaneously in a fast-pacedenvironment. Therefore, flexibility and an ability to learn new techniquesquickly are essential. Teamwork, collaboration, and clear communicationare also important as the employee will need to interface withmultidisciplinary teams of engineers and scientists.

　　Annual salary range: $56,000 to $70,000 with the complete benefits package.In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, actualcompensation is subject to variation due to factors as education,experience, skill set, and/or location.
