Position Description: This position isresponsible for supervising, prioritizing and managing test development,materials development, personnel, equipment and tactical resources inthe Chemical and Corrosion sections of the Chemical and MetallurgicalLaboratory. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate, direct and manage allchemical and corrosion test activities with Product Groups, ProductDevelopment, Process Development, Operations and Procurement for NorthAmerica. Work with global peers in Europe, Asia and South America tocoordinate testing to insure analysis needs are met in all regionsModine operates. Manage and administer all activities related to thedevelopment of materials, chemical and corrosion concepts and new methoddevelopment in SharePoint. Initiate and develop material and testspecifications related to chemical or corrosion issues. Develop andreview test programs with requestors to insure best use of laboratoryresources and delivery of actionable information. Devise & implementlaboratory test strategies to efficiently determine causes andcorrective actions for production problems and premature field/testfailures. Write formal interpretive reports, directed to Modinepersonnel with potential external distribution to customers andsuppliers. Review and edit draft reports from by lab staff. Recommendnew equipment purchases and manage department assets. Maintain andupdate the plant charge system to allocate lab-operating costs to theappropriate production facilities and/or corporate groups. Responsiblefor lab safety policy and compliance with Corp.
