We serve customers in 59 locations throughout the West.We are in search of a Chattel Evaluator (Auditor) to join our Credit Underwriting and Chattel Services North team in Spokane, Washington. This full-time position reports to the VP-Policy and Collateral Services and is accountable for independently evaluating chattel collateral to substantiate lending staff and customer valuations. This includes completing onsite inspections to verify chattel existence and condition, as well as assessing customers collateral risk management practices.This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule and one-time home office stipend after initial training period.Compensation InformationThe base salary range for this position is $55,000 - $85,000, bonus at target is 8-10% of salary, depending on experience.Job RequirementsCollaborate with AgWest staff, customers, third-party accountants, and others to gather relevant financial and collateral information required to complete an independent assessment.Analyze and interpret basic and complex financial statements, including opinions and notes, tax records, "in house" prepared financial statements and pro forma statements.Analyze and interpret cash conversion cycles for various agricultural industries and business models and reconcile with customer reporting.Complete chattel collateral evaluations in adherence with sound valuation principles, valuation techniques, and association procedures; this involves on-site visits to farms and business operations to visually inspect and value machinery, livestock, and other chattel assets.Verify customer accounts are in compliance with loan agreements, conditions, and covenants.Participate in assigned industry teams or industry task forces as needed; assist teams with detailed industry studies and maintenance of the association's commodity price resources.Establish rapport with and develop/maintain confidence of customers and prospective customers.Perform all duties and maintain all standards in accordance with laws, regulations, and company policies, procedures, and internal controls.Other duties as assigned.Minimum RequirementsBachelor's degree in business, accounting, or ag-related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Licensed or ability to be licensed to operate a drone.Licensed or ability to be licensed to operate a motor vehicle including rental vehicles.Ability to travel out of the area, frequently overnight.Preferred RequirementsGeneral understanding of auditing techniques and principles.General understanding of appropriate loan documentation and covenants.General understanding of local agricultural practices and crop and livestock production.Benefits Offered by AgWestMedical, dental, and vision insuranceBasic term life and AD&D insurance (fully paid for by the company)Paid days off annually: 15 vacation*, 15 sick, 11 holidays and 3 volunteer401(k) plan (6% match plus 3% employer contribution)Employee Assistance ProgramWellness ProgramJeans are welcome at work every day at AgWest!*Vacation accrual rate is based on the years of service.Details about insurance and retirement benefits are available at
