Manage Custodial Services to achieve the highest quality and responsive services within available resources by providing day-to-day operations coordination, supervision, training, evaluation and leadership of their assigned HTC Facilities Management team in order to build pride of purpose within that staff and see that their actions support the goals of increased enrollment, improved retention and improved graduation rates.
Specific Duties Include:
Lead, supervise and direct custodial staff, including hiring, coaching, and developing staff.
Develop and monitor annual revenue and expense budgets including evaluation appropriate material, supplies, and equipment purchases.
Establish process and priorities for daily, seasonal, and special functions work by coordinating with Building Services and academic partners to support each department.
Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth functioning of the department and maintain the reputation of the organization.
Minimum Qualifications
One-year supervisory experience
Ability to resolve conflicts and promote cooperation
Thorough knowledge of building custodial practices, procedures, equipment, materials, and supplies
Budget management experience
Working knowledge of purchasing guidelines and policies
Working knowledge of inventory management
Ability to be flexible with work hours and responsibilities, occasionally working early, late, or weekend hours
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge or experience in a workforce management program, allowing efficient management and tracking of resources, and delineation of job areas and duties to optimize cleaning duties within a facility
Knowledge of labor contracts for applicable bargaining units
Working knowledge of all applicable public health, safety and building code regulations
Ability to work with staff and others to promote an attitude of teamwork and mutual benefit
