Job Overview:
As the CFO , you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial strategy, management, and reporting for our diverse portfolio of investments and business interests. The successful candidate will be a proven finance professional with a demonstrated track record of strategic financial leadership in diverse industries.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy and Planning:
Develop and execute comprehensive financial strategies aligned with the overall objectives of the family office.
Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making processes.
Financial Management:
Oversee financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
Implement financial controls and risk management procedures to safeguard assets and optimize financial performance.
Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for stakeholders, presenting key insights and actionable recommendations.
Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support business decisions and enhance financial performance.
Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Develop and implement risk management strategies to safeguard the family office's financial interests.
Leadership and Collaboration:
Provide effective leadership to the finance team, including directly managing two Controllers and fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
Collaborate with other members of the leadership team to align financial strategies with overall business goals.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a CFO or in a senior finance role, preferably within a family office or similar environment.
Extensive knowledge of finance, accounting, and investment management.
Strong understanding of diverse industries and the ability to adapt financial strategies accordingly.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively at all levels.
Advanced degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. CPA is preferred.
Strong technology skills; NetSuite and/or other ERP packages a plus.
Solid work longevity with proven track record of career stability
Prefer someone from a Family Office environment with automotive, retail and hospitality industry experience (a plus).
