　　Responsibilities:

　　Perform patient care skill as directed by the RN/LPN in a safe manner according to policy and procedure

　　Respond directly to patient requests and appropriately communicate the patient needs

　　Assist with food distribution and feeding residents

　　Assist with bathing, oral hygiene, shaving, nail care, hair care, and dressing

　　Assist in transferring residents

　　Document in the medical record according to established procedure

　　High school diploma or GED preferred.

　　Completion of state approved Certified Nursing Assistant class and examination

　　Knowledge of body mechanics and transfer techniques

　　Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing

　　Licensure/Certifications:

　　Current PA Certified Nursing Assistant certification required

　　Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification is required within 30 days

　　Act 34 and Older Adult Protective Services Act clearance (when required) as needed
