POSITION SUMMARY:
Provides addiction treatment services independently to clients requiringassistance with substance use disorders in a complete range of dutiesassociated with addiction treatment.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Interviews, reviews records, and confers with other professionals toevaluate condition of clientsFormulates programs for treatment and rehabilitation of clientsCounsels clients individually and in group sessions to assist clients inovercoming alcohol and drug dependencyCounsels family members to assist family in dealing with and providing supportfor the clientRefers client to other support services as needed such as medical evaluationand treatment, social services and employment servicesMonitors condition of client to evaluate success of therapy; adaptstreatment as neededMaintains accurate and timely clinical records consistent with CenterstandardsPrepares documents for presentation in court and presents testimony in courtParticipates in meetings and in-servicesParticipates in a minimum of 2 hours clinical supervision per monthPerforms other job duties as assigned
RequirementsEDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree in related health sciences
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Certified in the State of Colorado as a Certified Addictions Counselor Level 3
