DescriptionPosition SummaryParma ED is a Level III Trauma Center. The ED is a 32 bed unit with 24 beds on the main side including 23 monitor beds and 2 trauma bays. The Super Track area has 8 beds run by an Advanced Practice Provider.Our ED Team is a giant family. We thrive on team work! If it wasn't for team work, the ED would struggle getting through the day. We spend a lot of time together, both in and outside of work. Our ED likes to joke around and have fun together while caring for our patients.COMMON DIAGNOSESOur ED sees it all... Stroke, Chest Pain, Traumas, Abdominal Pain, OB Deliveries, Pediatrics, Mental Health, bumps, scrapes and broken bones. We never turn anyone away!Shifts: Day/Night Rotation, Full-TimeProvides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.Essential FunctionsFunctions in accordance with the professional standards of the Ohio board of nursing.Completes/submits required documentation.Delivers effective relationship based nursing care.Demonstrates technical skills in care delivery that result in safe practice and positive care outcomes.Demonstrates clear communication and effective collaboration to optimize patient care and clinical operations.Develops self and contributes to the professional practice of nursing.Displays leadership that influences optimal clinical and operational outcomes.Required For All JobsPerforms other duties as assigned.Complies with all policies and standards.For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.
