Thisincludes identifying and developing capable sources of supply,negotiating costs, resolving issues associated with the execution ofpurchase orders, and identifying cost improvement opportunities. Thisposition is a contributor to the product development process andrequires interfacing with many other functions on a daily basis.PrimaryDuties & Responsibilities Identify suitable vendors for the manufactureof global product platforms, acquire quote packages, and negotiate bestcosts. Provide product proposals, costs, tool plans and developmentschedules with other multi-departmental resources for evaluation.Cross-functionally collaborate with Regional Marketing and New ProductDevelopment teams to understand their product requirements. Overseeagreement and approval process for all cost changes for all productswithin assigned product categories; manage the Price Change Noticeprocess.
