　　Job Title/High Level Position Summary:

　　The Category Manager - Indirect is responsible for the strategic sourcing, negotiation, and acquisition of machinery, equipment, tools, raw materials, packaging materials, parts, services, and supplies essential for an organization's operations. This role involves compiling and analyzing statistical data to assess the feasibility of procurement and establish price objectives, monitoring supplier performance, and identifying opportunities to optimize material acquisitions. The Category Manager - Indirect also tracks market dynamics and price trends, negotiates with suppliers, and evaluates supplier operations to determine the factors affecting prices while maintaining a focus on quality, reliability, and meeting required schedules.

　　Key Responsibilities:

　　Strategic Sourcing: Procure machinery, equipment, materials, services, and supplies by assessing their feasibility, quality, and cost-effectiveness.Supplier Management: Monitor and evaluate the performance of suppliers, identify areas of improvement, and maintain supplier relationships.Market Analysis: Continuously track market dynamics and price trends to make informed procurement decisions.Negotiation: Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing consistent with quality and operational requirements.Proposal Management: Prepare request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages when necessary.Data Analysis: Compile and analyze statistical data to support procurement decisions and cost management.

　　Minimum Basic Qualifications:

　　Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.Minimum of 8 years of experience in procurement and sourcing.Wide-ranging experience in resolving complex issues creatively and effectively.Demonstrated ability to work independently and make strategic decisions.

　　Travel Requirements:

　　This position will involve travel as necessary to meet the business requirements.
