Dorman Products is looking for a Cash Application Specialist to join the team in Colmar, PA! The goal of the Cash Application Specialist is to apply incoming payments to customer accounts in a timely manner and ensure all payments for the current month are entered prior to the month-end close.
Job Summary:
The Cash Applicators are responsible for properly applying payments to customer accounts. The payments can be in the form of the live checks received in the office, lockbox deposits, wire transfers, credit card, and ACH Payments. This position requires a detail-oriented, focused, hardworking individual who can keep pace with this fast-moving work environment and mustpossess a positive attitude when dealing with co-workers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Accurately apply lockbox deposits, live checks, credit cards, wire transfers,ACH payments and payments to all invoices listed on customers' remittances and properly chargeback deductions in a timely manner; this includes pulling and attaching backup for deductions.Advise Analyst if customer's check does not include remittance information or if the information is incomplete. The Analyst and ARC will contact customer and will provide the appropriate information.Scan backup and link to SAP document number all live checks, lockbox checks, and wire transfers with deductions or payments on account so Analysts and ARCs can research and resolve.Enter return checks in the system in a timely manner. Provide Analyst with a copy of the check.Reconcile all lockboxes, wire transfers, credit cards, and live checks entered in the system to the daily bank report.Ensure all micro information is up to date.Advise supervisor of problem accounts or related issues.Perform special projects requested by management team.
Education and Experience:
High School diploma and/or GED requiredAssociate's degree in a Finance or Accounting related fieldpreferred1-2 years of experience working in a fast-paced Accounting or Finance environment, working with cash application
