　　Job Summary and Qualifications

　　As an Echo sonographer, you will work with a team that considers themselves a family where each member works hard to support each other. We are looking for someone who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. In this role:

　　You will, under the direction of the Manager, be responsible for performing cardiac ultrasound procedures such as transthoracic, stress, transesophageal, intra-operative echocardiograms within the inpatient and outpatient settings.

　　You will accurately prepare patients for procedures and correlate patient history with all tests that have been ordered by physicians.

　　You will always ensure that equipment is clean and in proper working condition. If equipment malfunctions are identified, the Manager will be notified immediately.

　　You will follow established surveillance, prevention and control of infection policies and procedures to identify and reduce the risks of acquiring or transmitting infection by use of personal protective measures.

　　You will maintain a clean and organized work environment including but not limited to; staff work area, patient exam rooms, equipment and supplies.

　　You will expertly perform all ultrasound procedures in assigned specialty service areas utilizing a variety of equipment and techniques in accordance with established clinical practice standards, hospital guidelines and protocols.

　　What qualifications you will need:

　　Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer

　　American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification

　　Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree, or Certificate
