JOB REQUIREMENTS: Overview Operates diagnostic imaging equipment toproduce contrast enhanced radiographs of heart and cardiovascular system(angiograms), during cardiac catheterization, to aid Physician indiagnostic evaluation and treatment by performing the following duties.Responsibilities Prepares equipment and patients for proceduresutilizing sterile technique. Assists Cardiologist during diagnosticcardiac catheterizations according to established standards andprocedures. Post procedurally established hemostasis of arterial/venouspuncture sites. Maintains procedural event log. Participates inpatient/family education. Participates in Quality Assessment andimprovement. May be required to work flexible hours and overtime duringpeak periods. Participates in on-call roster. Performs other duties asassigned by Cath Lab Coordinator or Heart Program Director Education andExperience Graduate of an AMA accredited Radiologic Technology programor equivalent OR Graduate of a Cardiac Intervention Program One yearexperience working in Cardiac Cath Lab preferred Certification/LicensureGraduate of AMA school: AART registered or registry eligible andWisconsin State Radiology Technologist License Graduate of a CardiacIntervention Program: Cardiovascular Technologist registered or registryeligible BLS Certification ACLS Certification (preferred) SpecialPhysical Demands While performing the duties of this Job, the employeeis regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequentlyrequired to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel andreach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/ormove up to 50 pounds.
