The project manager will own/lead a portfolio of critical capital projects or focus on a major project leading execution from basic design to handover. The projects will range from utilities, facilities, primary, QC to R&D and will be part of the Rixensart Capital Projects team. This will involve project management and partnering with key stake holders to ensure critical needs are met.
The capital investments team needs an experienced engineer with high level of leadership, sense of urgency, bias to action, project management mastery and strong technical skills. The person will be a key player in driving project execution excellence; deliver vertical start-up of his/her projects while meeting strict safety, quality, capital, and schedule needs.
The role is complex with multiple customers and competing needs. The person needs to be able to deal with complexity, ambiguity and has a strong drive for success.
Belgian Vaccine operation is one of the biggest in the world, the role will touch a range of units with more than 12,000 employees and assets with a replacement value of 3.5 billion Euros.
Your responsibilities:Define project(s) priorities with input from customers and partners.Ensure the right staffing and capability is in place across internal and external organizations including experts, Engineering Offices and usersDeliver the project(s) with heightened focus on safety, quality and compliance.Track project(s) spending and ensure capital targets are consistently met.Penetrate technical details with a critical mind and ensure the right solutions are implemented with focus on value and functionality.Champion simplification and productivity, help drive a breakthrough in how projects are executed.May need to manage a small team of project managers, engineering offices and various suppliers.Become an active member in the capital projects team focusing on building capability, innovation and technical readiness skills. Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:Engineering degree with minimum 10 years' experience managing large scale engineering projects or portfolio of projects, higher than 30million Euros.Project management mastery including construction safety, construction management, estimation, forecasting, change management, documentation, scheduling, start up, handover.Strong leadership, ability to influence others, challenge the status quo and drive change.People management skills and ability to motivate others within reporting lines and outside.Technical knowledge of facilities/utilities and GMP projectsAbility to work autonomously with a strong sense of accountabilityEnglish and French language masteryPreferred Qualifications:
