The Opportunity-
Williams International has an exciting opportunity for a Buyer I to join our team. The Buyer I will be responsible for the purchasing and negotiating of capital equipment, services and materials for facility projects and the development of key sourcing strategies to support process improvement and spend consolidation. Additional areas of responsibility would include contracting services for repair and maintenance of capital equipment, spare parts strategy, developing and maintaining critical supplier relationships, negotiating terms and conditions of purchase. The Buyer I will work with engineering and operations staff to assist in developing request for quotations and identifying new supplier opportunities.
Additionally, the Buyer I will be responsible for:
Strategic sourcing of manufacturing equipment and capitalManaging business relationships with suppliers commensurate with WI Standards including price, quality, and delivery requirementsManaging orders through follow up, issue resolution, and contract negotiationAnalyzing, negotiating and issuing RFQ's to suppliers for new and existing materials, supply contracts and servicesResponsible and accountable for product safety and the quality of work, including, as a minimum, all elements defined in the Company's Quality PolicyQualifications-
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related field3+ years of experience in purchasing, contracts or sourcing strategy developmentExperience with manufacturing equipment, capital projects, developing and maintaining critical supplier relationships, negotiating terms and conditions of purchase is desiredMS Office and MRP/ ERP knowledge is required; SAP preferredExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong problem-solving, analytical and organizational skillsU. S. citizenship is requiredPosition requires the ability to obtain a U. S. Government Security Clearance, if needed. Candidates selected may be subject to a U. S.
