What does a great Business Analyst look like at Fiserv?
This position is for a Business Analyst who will work on the Contact Management for DNA (CM) product. CM is an application used by employees and agents of a financial institution (FI) to track their engagements or interactions with the FI’s customers, and to provide access to account and customer data that resides in the FI’s core banking system. Contact Management is supported by a small development team responsible for requirements definition, coding, and QA testing.
The Business Analyst would work with the team to define system requirements, evaluate proposed new features, assist with implementation of security mandates, and contribute to the overall testing, packaging, documentation, and delivery of the product.
What you will do:
Install and configure instances of integrated/related software applications that Contact Management depends on as part of its environment.
Install and configure Contact Management instances for requirements evaluation and testing of the application.
Create and review detailed documentation for software releases.
Participate in team calls; support and assist team members facing obstacles in their own work or local environments.
Work productively with related Fiserv teams that are the primary providers of integrated software applications or components.
Manage cloud-based environments such as Skytap or Azure that are utilized by the team.
Use knowledge of simple SQL and Oracle queries for troubleshooting application problems or analyzing data.
Interact with clients to understand requests for features or application changes, and to help clients with the setup and use of the application.
Assist with overall software release preparation – assembling of documentation, installation packages, etc.
Assist with evaluation of software security vulnerability reports, remediation options, strategies, internal processes related to tracking, etc.
What you will need to have:
Good communication skills
Familiarity with typical tools used in creating software documentation (MS Word, e.g.)
Familiarity with technical landscape that our software products use (databases, websites, servers)
Experience in generating software requirements
Familiarity with typical software lifecycle processes and artifacts
Willingness to engage with other development and support groups
Must have familiarity with software testing and validation methods.
Must have familiarity with software problem research methods.
This role is not eligible to be performed in Colorado, California, New York or Washington.
