Summary: Provides project management expertise andconsultation to business in order to meet department and crossdepartment goals. Plans, monitors and manages internal projects frominitiation through completion. Secures required resources and usesformal processes and tools to manage resources, budgets, risks, andchanges. Manages projects to ensure on-time completion according tospecifications and within budgeted costs. Incumbent is concerned withclearly identifiable elements of larger projects. Primary Duties &Responsibilities: Independently leads highly complex departmentalproject/support assignments and/or participates in cross-departmentalprojects with responsibility for managing scope, risk, business value,schedule and budget. With department management, defines the objectivesto be accomplished by the project team. With the team, develops theproject plan. Directs team members to determine the best methods toachieve the projects objectives. Allocates staff and budget resourcesrequired to achieve project objectives. Maintains documentation of keydecisions made throughout all project Identifies and solves a range ofproblems for a variety of situations. Analyzes possible solutions andassesses each using standard procedures, developing a recommendedapproach. Conducts independent and complex analysis to identify thescope and nature of a business and/or system problem. Responsible foraccomplishing the stated project objectives through key projectmanagement responsibilities that include building the projectrequirements and managing the triple project constraints of cost, time,and scope. Responsible for developing, maintaining and revising projectdeliverables. Responsible for gathering and delivering metrics asrequired by the project. As the project lead, and sometimes in supportof a larger project manager lead, develops presentations andcommunications which incorporate a clear understanding of corporatecommunications theory and practice. Identifies alternative options inthe development and enhancements for new policies and processes.Responsible to manage project risk through the development, maintenanceand revision of reports and tracking tools. Using approved methodologiesuses all available tools to identify potential problems before theyoccur. Understands the key business drivers as they relate to theprojects. Adapts to the various internal procedures and forms closelinks with the business partner representatives, ensuring that the keyissues of cost, time, scope and above all, client satisfaction, can berealized.
