G ENERAL DESCRIPTION: Identify, attract, and help develop the pipeline of potential participants of the E-HUB: (1) aspiring entrepreneurs, (2) informal microbusinesses, and (3) microbusinesses and small businesses. Properly assess participants’ entrepreneurial aspirations and /or opportunities and channel those through the correct channels within the E-Hub platform. Evaluate business ideas and or plans and connect participants with mentors, financial partners, and other key players of the entrepreneurial ecosystems. Responsible for identifying informal business activities that could evolve into formal micro or small businesses.
TASKS AND DETAILED WORK ACTIVITIES:
Develop a pipeline of potential participants from the E-HUB platform. Support the marketing and promotion efforts to attract such participants.
Provide entrepreneurship and economic development workshops to participants.
Evaluate business ideas and or opportunities and channel them through the right services within the HUB.
Build a strong relationship with financial key players in the microfinance, crowdfunding, and small business sectors. Understand the different fund-raising opportunities for our participants to channel them to the right partner in case the participant wants to formalize the business idea.
Support in the delivery of a diverse series of events for the entrepreneurs and partners.
Manage and oversee the development of each case/ participant in the E-HUB and foster the continued development of those participants.
Design and oversee the completion of the development plan design to each participant at the E-HUB.
Foster a teamwork atmosphere for peers and participants, seeking the development of strong relationships between the E-HUB constituents and the local entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Evaluate financial projections of participant entrepreneurs and identify the best partners to accomplish fund-raising activities.
Identify and refer best cases to be legitimate and propel at the E-commerce platform or other partner programs.
Help identify and properly channel the three different target audiences of the E-HUB: (1) aspiring entrepreneurs, (2) informal microbusinesses, and (3) microbusinesses and small businesses.
Perform any other task requested by the supervisor.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s in business administration or related field with some experience in entrepreneurship and business development. A Master’s Degree in Business Administration is preferred but not required.
Strong interpersonal and communications skills, able to with people of diverse sectors and academic backgrounds.
Innovative and self-starter, comfortable with a dynamic atmosphere.
Technology literate with an emphasis on business-related software and applications (word, excel, PowerPoint).
Considerable experience in entrepreneurship and business development, preferably in the startup and community-based field.
Strong time management skills, able to prioritize among different goals, organize events, and connect people.
Knowledgeable in the financing industry, startup fund-raising, and business financial projections. Relevant experience evaluating business plans, strategy, and sales projections.
Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
Identifying the underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking down information or data into separate parts.
Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed. The position may require walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day. May reach above shoulder height or below the waist and lift as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workday must be able to lift 15 pounds and use proper lifting techniques.
