  Job Description Summary:

  The Business Development Representative role is the lead generation engine for our sales organization. In this role you will conduct research to identify details on prospects, qualify cold and warm leads via outbound calling and e-mailing, and nurture leads through the initial qualification and needs assessment conversations over the phone. You will be responsible for generating opportunities and qualified pipeline.

  Individuals that are successful in this role are self-motivating, creative, excellent communicators who are competitive in nature, coachable, have strong time management skills, and a desire to help others. If you can show a reliable background, great communication skills and willingness to learn, this could be the place for you. This role will work closely with our Senior Outside Sales and Marketing teams.

  Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  Generate qualified opportunities through outbound calling.

  Qualify leads and follow up inbound inquiries with product-specific content produced by Marketing for lead generation campaigns

  Set qualified appointments for field sales reps.

  Support selling strategies based on research and general business acumen.

  Work with the sales team to prioritize efforts, refine selling strategies, share results, and plan next steps.

  Extend/deepen relationships with customers to further qualify and access accounts, and articulate Rocket’s value.

  Work with Marketing to communicate the results of marketing campaigns and provide feedback to improve the success of future campaigns.

  Support other Sales and Marketing initiatives to increase revenue opportunities.

  Required Qualifications:

  2+ years of relevant or transferable experience (e.g., sales, marketing)

  Demonstrated research skills

  Awareness of modern best business practices.

  Ability to prioritize effectively and work independently

  Strong interpersonal communication skills; strong ability to work well with others

  Knowledge of software marketplace and IT organizational structures

  Very strong verbal and written communication skills

  Familiarity with CRM software a plus

  The base salary range for this role is $41,202.00 - $51,502.50 /year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.

  This position is eligible for commissions in accordance with the terms of the company’s plan
