The Milwaukeeoffice of SmithGroupis looking foraBusiness Development Directorto join our team.The person hired for thisrole may sit in any three of the locations in which it is posted(Chicago, Madison, Milwaukee). Working with us, you will: Lead thedevelopment of business development strategy at Officeand Studio levelsincluding the proactive identification, qualification and positioning ofSmithGroup in assigned sectors. Build and implement capture plans fortarget clients. Facilitate strategic partner collaborations includingpre-positioning sessions and strategic alliances with partners likecontractors, developers, organizations or other key consultantsCollaborate with management and technical staff to identify projectopportunities, strengthen current business ties and clientrelationships, and formulate business development strategies to expandSmithGroup market sectors Monitor industry trends and collect marketintelligence on clients and competitors. Develop project pursuitstrategies & position SmithGroup for projects before Requests forProposals are issued. Actively engage in proposal and interview strategydevelopment including the development of key proposal sections andinterview coaching. Performs ongoing research of industry/tradeorganizations and make recommendations on the value ofmemberships/sponsorships. Attend industry events for networking andrelationship building. Conduct and analyze debrief surveys though outthe pursuit and project process and provide recommendations forimprovement. Update and maintain lead tracking databases with relevantinformation on targeted clients, contacts and opportunities. Monitorlead tracking sites and share qualified leads.
