About Bus Assembler 3rd Class

  • Demonstrates an entry level of proficiency in executing workmanship on production projects including large line-ups and complex sections in all areas of assembly. Installing all types of electrical components and devices onto pans and into enclosures per drawing packages, assembly guides, and instructions defined by the Engineering Department.  

  • Install and mount conductive material into electrical enclosures by reading and comprehending schematics or documents, under supervision and guidance from senior team members, to efficiently build customized equipment in order to meet and exceed  deadlines. 

  • Perform daily tasks with safe and proper use of equipment and tools. overhead cranes, pallet jacks, tilt tables, saw horses, stools, ladders, torque wrenches, drills, hand tools, air and electric power tools, tape measures, etc. 

  • Interpret and apply basic to intermediate knowledge and principles while reading specifications to make determinations on bussing parts, methods, sequencing. 

  • Maintain a safe, clean and well-organized work area by complying with safety procedures, rules, quality standards and best practices, and relying on pre-established guidelines or directions from senior team members to perform tasks optimally. 

  • Maintain operational excellence by completing necessary paperwork such as Engineering Corrective Reports, Non Conformance Reports, Corrective Action reports, and Material Transfer Reports. Performance objectives, and their related measures are determined in relation tol the Strategic Plan, these are presented in accordance with Point Eight Power's Policy, objectives, leadership, Commitment and Communication procedure. All employees contribute to the effectiveness and success of the company, as such, all employees are jointly accountable for the achievment of these objectives,. It is PEP's expectation that personnel will execute their roles in accordance with the tenets set forth in the policies, procedures, and associated presses that comprise the Point Eight Power Business Management System. 

  • 2 years of experience assembling electrical switchboards from a drawing package in our manufacturing facility.  

  • 3 years of experience working in an electrical apprenticeship, as an electronic repairman, or HVAC installer, preferred.  

  Required SkillsProduction and Processing -- Knowledge or raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

  Mechanical -- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.  Tools include:   screw drivers, ratchet and sockets, crimpers, wiring cutters, tape measures, ban saws, air tools, and inspection mirror.

  Active Listening - The ability to give full attention to when others speak and taking time to understand the points being made; asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.

  Verbal & Written Communication Skills -- The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand and the ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand.

  Time Management -- The ability to manage one's own time and contribute to the effective us of

  others'.

  Production and Processing -- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

   

   

  Quality focus -- The ability to establish and exceed high standards of excellence in all elements of work by carefully following procedures and striving for accuracy.

  Teamwork/Cooperation -- The ability to correspond and collaborate with both peers and leaders.

  Manual Dexterity - The ability to quickly move your hand, you hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.

  Control Precision -- The ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine or a vehicle to exact positions.

  Arm-Hand Steadiness -- The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position

  Design -- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models.

  Math Skills -- This position requires intermediate math skills (calculate figures/discounts, proportions, area, etc.)

  Multi-limb Coordination -- The ability to coordinate two or more limbs (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while sitting, standing or lying down. It does not involve performing the activities while the whole body is in motion.

  Near Vision -- The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).

  Customer & Service Orientation -- The ability to initiate and actively seek ways to help people.
