Job Description:
Our WestRock, PrePress facility is hiring a Quality Manager to ensure that quality standards are met and maintained by understanding, implementing, and enforcing compliance with Customer, Regulatory, and WestRock processes, policies, and procedures. The Quality Manager is accountable for internal and external quality complaint resolution, execution of audits, and ensuring efficient and smooth operations within the Mississauga facility and other sites with Graphics Solutions. The Quality Manager is responsible for providing strategic and technical leadership in the development, application, and consistent implementation the WestRock Quality System including processes and tools for the container division within our Mississauga location. The candidate selected will be capable of effectively interfacing and influencing with sales’ leaders, operation’s leadership, as well as plant line leadership. The Quality Manager acts as leader and driver of all quality initiatives for plant location; interacts and partners with manufacturing, sales and design teams, vendors, and customers in meeting internal and external customer quality requirements.
Job Responsibility:
Leads customer complaint investigations and resolution
Flexible to cover shifts in the absence of a supervisor, ensuring DMS is adhered to.
Member of the plant steering team
Leads plant environmental program ensuring WestRock policies and local regulations are followed
Achieves desired results in Quality by diagnosing, designing, implementing, then ensuring division’s processes, practices and procedures are fully and consistently adhered within the organization by collaborating directly with all personnel.
Fully accountable for continuous improvement in the prepress quality programs through use of external and internal benchmarking, leveraging of industry best practices.
Leads and facilitates formal problem-solving team activities to drive to root cause and corrective action.
Develop and distribute Quality Alerts as needed.
Coaches and trains plant leadership and plant personnel to achieve desired results.
Oversight for the areas specific to document management, CAPA, Internal Assessment, Management Review, and employee training as it relates to the Quality Management System
Responsible for integrity of data collection systems
Audits and assessments
Identify system gaps and solutions to those gaps
Identify improvement initiatives to drive overall system performance
Support of plant needs
Support Corporate Initiatives
Aligned with Annual Budget
Continuous Improvement using Six Sigma Tools
Customer and Supplier visits for trouble shooting, audits, building relationships and quality concerns.
Internal Customer Relations: work with sales and customer service to develop and implement best practices; attend set call, meetings, and business reviews; prepare and submit performance and work vendors to improve service and quality of materials provided.
Supplier Relations: Monitor and Manage vendor quality ratings. Report on performance and work with vendors to improve service and quality of materials provided. Performs supplier audits.

What you need to succeed:
Secondary School Diploma
Certification in Quality Management or equivalent experience
Good time management and organization skills
Ability to lead collaborative work groups
Ability to influence the organization
Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment

Training personnel
Coaching for performance
Good written and verbal communications skills
Knowledge of quality management procedures and systems
Good computer skills
Knowledge of Mac computers an asset
