About Bus Aides Part-time #247

　　RESPONSIBILITIES:

　　Supports children on the bus as per their Individualized Education Plans (IEP’s).

　　Supervises and redirects the behavior of children on the bus to ensure safety for the students.

　　Must pass a physical performance test bi-annually as per NYSED requirements.

　　Must attend a Pre-Service Class related to job responsibilities as mandated by NYSED.

　　Must attend an additional ten-hour basic course on special education requirements including behavior management, wheelchair accessibility, use of vests, etc.

　　Must attend two different (2) hour refresher classes yearly to keep up-to-date on procedures and requirements.

　　Must be nineteen (19) years of age or older to qualify.

　　LOCATION: Districtwide

　　HOURS: Various Shifts (6:00 a.m.-9:30 a.m. or 1:15 p.m. - 4:15 p.m.)
