Randstad is seeking a highly motivated and organized candidate for the position of Bookkeeper. The Bookkeeper provides support to the administrative team. Generally, the Bookkeeper is responsible for recording and maintaining financial records and general office administrative duties. Primary responsibilities include accounts payable and receivable, payroll, bank deposits, reconciliations, prepares quarterly tax filings and other required reporting and performs a variety of clerical duties under the general direction of the Director. The ideal candidate must enjoy working within a small, entrepreneurial environment that is mission-driven, results-driven and community oriented. The individual selected should have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong analytical and mathematical, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. The Bookkeeper will have the ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion, and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion. Randstad offers this position for 3 months with an option to extend. Hours are Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. This position is located in the beautiful mountains of Dayton! Responsibilities
• Help organize and maintain office operations and procedures.
• Manage general accounting ledgers, record journal entries, and generate financial statements; perform reconciliations as needed.
• Assist in calculating, processing, and posting invoices.
• Assist in calculating, collecting, and posting project job costs and expenses.
• Analyze financial records for accuracy.
• Monitor customer payments and assist in collection efforts for delinquent accounts.
• Schedule and pay Company operational expenses.
• Assist and prepare for workers' compensation, payroll, and insurance audits.
• Assist in preparing outbound shipping bills of lading and coordination of freight pick-up.
• Communicate directly with manufacturers regarding accounts.
• Calculate, record, and process Federal and State tax forms and payments.
• Assist in compiling and preparing year-end close out documents as required by accountant.
• Perform financial, bookkeeping, and accounting duties by following best practices.
• Answer the phone; take accurate messages; route to appropriate employee.
• Support Company's Service Manager through a variety of tasks.
• Work closely and directly with the Company's Owner/President through a variety of tasks.
• Strive for and maintain a “Team” approach attitude for all aspects of the Company's business.
