TYPE OF POSITION: Non-Rep Exempt Hours may vary based on program needs REPORTS TO: Supervisor of Special Education SUPERVISION: None QUALIFICATIONS: Required Board Certification as Behavior Analyst Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or other non-violent crisis intervention program certification Preferred MS in Applied Behavioral Analysis with certification as a BCBA Experience in educational field POSITION SUMMARY: The Behavior Analyst conducts descriptive and systematic behavioral assessments, including functional behavioral analyses, and provides behavior analytic interpretations of the results. The Behavior Analyst assists with the design and implementation of behavior interventions, trains staff on behavioral interventions, and consults with IEP team members. SALARY: $50,000 - $70,000 (dependent on qualifications and experience) APPLICATION PROCESS: Online application, ; attach documentation supporting required degree ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Consult, communicate, and work cooperatively with teams across the school district to provide appropriate programming for students and maintain a positive work environment for all Conduct functional behavior assessments Implement positive behavior interventions and supports to support student progress, reinforcing positive behaviors, utilizing de-escalation techniques, and redirecting inappropriate behaviors Support the development and implementation of individualized education plans in accordance with district practice and state and federal requirements Provide training to staff related to behavioral recommendations Help to maintain safety of all students and the environment; may be required to use restrictive procedures Utilize data to inform programming decisions and planning for student success Use flexible thinking and adaptability to address student needs and respond calmly during crisis situations, when necessary Ensure compliance with School Board policies and administrative practices, including those procedures outlined in the staff and student handbooks Other duties as assigned PHYSICAL FACTORS: Frequent: walking, standing, bending, sitting, hearing, talking, and seeing All Employees of Saint Cloud School District 742 are responsible to support District goals, to work collaboratively and respectfully with diverse populations of staff, students and parents and to model and promote a welcoming working and learning environment.
