  About the job

  Be the catalyst who creates and carries opportunities, solves problems, and establishes working relationships with customers. The Red Hat Sales team is looking for an Automation focused Sales Specialist to join us in Santiago, Chile. In this role, you will lead the growth and development of Red Hat's solutions in the South of Latin America (SOLA) region, mainly for strategic accounts. You'll discover and analyze our customers’ business and technical needs and collaborate with the sales, pre-sales and technical delivery teams to help customers invest wisely in the most appropriate solutions for the Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform solutions. As a Sales Specialist, you'll need to have excellent communication, presentation and people skills, as you'll be a crucial part of the first in-depth experience our customers have with Red Hat. You will listen to customer business and technical challenges and suggest various solution paths customized to each customers’ unique circumstances. You will build solutions during the presales phase and prove their feasibility and value to the customers through demonstrations, coordinate proofs of concepts and build specific business cases for our offerings. You will exercise good judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate actions to take and you'll be responsible for effectively managing your time.

  What you will do

  Provide pre-sales technical and business support to the SOLA Sales team and build quality solution oriented technical proposals that will address strategic customers' business problems

  Work with the Enterprise and Commercial Sales Account teams to build account strategies and guide the implementation of the overall infrastructures strategy within the defined set of accounts and territory.

  Guide customers from initially adopting basic automation use cases and growing the account to include more complex and mission critical automation routines such as self-healing / self-remediation of application and infrastructure issues, automate GRC (Governance Risk and Compliance), Infrastructure As Code (IAC), Security, Network and Edge Automation, Hybrid Cloud Automation, and so forth. Offerings will include self-managed environments, On Premises and in Public Clouds, as well as managed cloud services, ways of using Red Hat’s technologies and services.

  Build strategic relationships with the C-level and key business line leaders to deliver Red Hat’s Automation vision and strategy, calculation ROI and business impact and value obtained through the adoption of Ansible Automation Platform.

  Use your deep knowledge of our offerings to provide technical expertise to sales associates and customers through workshops, sales presentations, and demonstrations of our offerings across Red Hat’s solutions.

  Communicate business value, progress, and status of sales opportunities to all stakeholders; share knowledge and findings to allow team members to learn from your successes and mistakes.

  Ensure that revenue quota, deployment, and service objectives are met while maintaining a high level of satisfaction among prospective and existing customers.

  Research and write responses to technical sections of requests for information (RFIs) and requests for proposal (RFPs)

  Proactively participate in Red Hat’s internal communities of practice (CoPs) and lead internal knowledge sharing of the automation portfolio

  Speak at events and technical forums to everyone from CIOs to user groups about Red Hat's technologies

  Learn about new technologies and how they can be applied to solve enterprise challenges

  What you will bring

  7+ years of architecture experience with focus on Automation Technologies, Operating System, Enterprise virtualization, cloud, or datacenter infrastructure

  Record of working in a consulting setup with background in a strategic advisory capacity to senior IT and business executives

  Broad and deep technical experience with cloud solutions and architecture levels

  Great written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish

  Solutions sales mentality in an environment with multiple offerings and services

  Proven ability to work with distributed cross-functional teams to achieve success on behalf of customers

  Good balance of strategic and tactical skills

  Front sales and quota carrying experience is considered a plus
