Job Summary:
Come join our Division's growing research enterprise as a Grant Specialist (Open Rank: Intermediate-Senior Level), supporting our researchers that have been awarded over $4M so far this fiscal year! This position will predominantly focus on post-award management and has the opportunity to work fully remote.
Key Responsibilities:
Grant and contract management lifecycle from award set up to close out.
Support faculty post-award administration of grants and contracts, including providing monthly financials reports, projects, and guidance.
Provide monthly financial reports and ongoing guidance to faculty, process journal entries, payroll expense transfers and procurement related requests.
Provide pre-award administration as needed.
Maintain knowledge of university policies, federal regulations and sponsor guidelines and stay apprised of changes to regulations.
Work Location:
Remote – This role is eligible to work remotely, but the employee must be in the United States.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
Intermediate Level:
A bachelor's degree in public health, public administration, social/behavioral sciences, physical sciences, nursing, healthcare, finance, accounting, business administration, business, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.
One (1) year of post-award grant management experience in an academic environment.
Senior Level:
A bachelor's degree in public health, public administration, social/behavioral sciences, physical sciences, nursing, healthcare, finance, accounting, business administration, business, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.
Two (2) years of post-award grant management experience in an academic environment.
Principal Level :
A bachelor's degree in public health, public administration, social/behavioral sciences, physical sciences, nursing, healthcare, finance, accounting, business administration, business, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.
Three (3) years of post-award grant management experience in an academic environment.
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in business field.
Experience working in an academic environment or medical center.
Experience specific to post award accounting, tracking budgets and grant timelines.
Experience with CU procurement and accounting (CU-Data, PeopleSoft HCM, PeopleSoft Finance, Concur, Marketplace, and A2E).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, specifically, Excel and Outlook.
Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
Outstanding customer service skills.
Demonstrated commitment and leadership ability to advance diversity and inclusion.

Anticipated Pay Range:
The starting salary range ( or hiring range ) for this position has been established as:
Intermediate Level: $52,312 – $66,541
Senior Level: $56,554 – $71,936
Principal Level: $65,037 – $82,727
The above salary range ( or hiring range ) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
