Job Description
A&M-SA Institute for Autism and Related Disorders (IARD) will be a premier research institute focused on developing appropriate assessment methods, educational strategies, behavioral interventions, and transition services for individuals with autism and related disorders. IARD is housed in the College of Education and Human Development and works collaboratively to increase the number of service providers and professionals in the field. IARD will serve as the inspiration of service for individuals with autism and related disorders by working collaboratively and transparently to improve the opportunities and outcomes for them and their families. The following programs support individuals and families on the autism spectrum and will work under the IARD.

Through Autism Lifeline Links and the Autism Mobile Assessment Bus and Learning Environment, the ALL-Care Associate will increase opportunities for individuals with autism spectrum disorder and families raising individuals with autism spectrum disorder who are enrolled in the ASPIRE network as part of school-based autism services. The associate will support families and individuals to make informed choices and connect to community resources and services available through Autism Lifeline Links and The Institute for Autism and Related Disorders, thus creating interagency collaboration and increasing children's connections to long-term community support.
The ALL-Care Associate will review technical reports to determine trends in enrollment and service delivery and provide feedback to the Home, School, and Community Coordinator to engage in continuous improvement. The coordinator will utilize a HIPPA-compliant web-based platform to document communication with families and service providers, which includes assigning and following up with referrals in the system.
This is a grant-funded position. Grant-funded positions are contingent upon available grant funding.
Responsibilities:
The Autism Lifeline Links (ALL) Care Associate will be responsible for following up on online inquiries for resources and making needed connections and referrals following HIPPA compliance
Complete intake/introduction calls when a first-time registration comes into a web portal
Completes Screeners with Families and individuals in the online
Provide resources and information to families, community partners, and school organizations about services available
Respect the Confidentiality of records and use complete discretion when discussing information
Review operational and technical reports needed.
Performs additional duties as assigned to support school-based autism services
Required Education and Experience:
Must be enrolled as a half-time Graduate Student.
Needs to be in good academic standing with a GPA of no less than 3.0
Current on all Financial Obligations to the University
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Great attitude and dedication to providing excellent customer service
Professional, responsible, and the ability to work independently
Must be able to work 20 hours a week with flexibility provided
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, active listening, and verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of individuals with Autism and Related Disorders
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and other web-based programs
