Materials - Buyer - Direct Intermediate Location: Austin, TX Duration: 18 months Description: Perform business related direct purchasing like spares and parts, need to understand our product and be familiar with tools. Buyer needs access to the detailed drawing and specification related to part numbers so that the buyer can provide the information to the supplier. CVD buyer needs Teamcenter access. Need SAP access in day-to-day work, perform similar role as RFT buyer with routine work content. Create PO according to supplier LT and approved prices and provide latest drawing & BOM to supplier (SCV/SIX) . Managing supplier order delivery schedule and have timely schedule update in SAP. . Uses existing order management Process/ procedures on supplier delivery tracking/ECN implementation/FAI process/outstanding GR & IR follow up. Works with engineering and MPM or SCM to recommend new suppliers. Coordinates/drives purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering departments to maintain inventory at planned levels. Pulls and reads part specifications and engineering drawings. Utilizes knowledge of material types to communicate with engineers and suppliers. Provides feedback to engineering for cost reduction efforts.
