Manufacturing Engineer at DICKEY-john
Provides support and problem resolution to the production floor. Plan,document and implement production methods and processes to facilitatethe timely and efficient manufacture of quality products. Review newproduct designs to ensure the products are manufacturable and costeffective. Coordinate, as part of a project team, the introduction ofnew products to the production floor.
What Will You Do?
In order to grow and build a successful career with TSI/DICKEY-john, youwill be responsible for:
Production floor support/problem resolution and methods engineeringMake suggestions and incorporate changes to improve the workflow inthe assigned value streams.Communicate effectively with personnel from widely variedbackgroundsNew product review, coordination and introduction to the productionfloorEstablish and document efficient manufacturing processes / methodsusing but not limited to Bills of Materials, Routings, Visual WorkInstructions, PFMEA's, ECO's and Control PlansAbility to read complex schematics, blueprints, CAD drawingsFixture and tooling design and improvementsParticipate on cross-functional project teams that requirecoordinating with staff from engineering, quality, production, andpurchasingPersonal and professional integrityCost analysisCost reduction and avoidanceIntroduce and maintain best practices on the manufacturing floorincluding Lean Manufacturing, and 5S.Training of production personnelWork on multiple assignments concurrently and prioritize based onimportance and urgencyAbility to employ sound judgment with little or no supervisionAbility to proficiently use Microsoft Office tools, SAP, and be aresource for othersCompletes other assignments requestedSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Bachelor of Science in an Engineering or technical related fieldrequired. Bachelor of Science in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineeringdesired.
Experience
0-2 years of experience.1 year of experience desired.KNOWLEDGE

Working condition are split between a standard office and the productionfloor environment. Working at a desk or table on a level surface as wellas standing and moving on the production floor. Air quality and noiselevels are within normal limits. Eye protection is required on theproduction floor. Under normal conditions, exposure to excessive noise,dust, humidity, and fumes is rare. An employee may be required to workmore hours than normally expected during a regular workweek depending onworkload and deadline requirements.
May be required to sit for extended periods of time, stand and walk/moveto different locations as needed.
Position Type/Expeced Hours Of Work**This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Mondaythrough Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.This position occasionallyrequires long hours and weekend work.
