General Summary:

Job Description:

The candidate will support Audio/Voice system’s Algorithm tuning, issues debugging and specific carrier requirement tuning. It also requires the ability to understand and explain technical information in a concise manner with strong communication skills between customers and developers. Support Qualcomm customers for design- win projects, help customers to understand Qualcomm voice/ audio tuning, deliver the best quality of voice/ audio within the project schedule.

Experience and skill set,

Strong knowledge in Digital Signal Processing concepts.

Hands on experience in tuning pre and post processing Algorithms( Design IIR/FIR filters, DRC, MBDRC, ECNS).

Strong knowledge in C and MATLAB.

Hands-on Experience in using HEAD Acoustic ACQUA System, HATs , Network simulator-CallBox(CMU200/CMW500)

Strong knowledge Speech coding principles, Speech Coding Standards.

Strong knowledge Vocoders Principles and Standards (AMR-NB,AMR-WB,GSM-HF,GSM-FR,G711,EVS,EVRC,EVRC-NW).

Knowledge in 3GPP /3GGP2/ ETSI/ ITU-T Speech Standards, POLQA and 3QUEST.

Knowledge in VoLTE/VoIP Call Signaling.

Familiar in Operator Requirements.

Knowledge and experience on Android Audio framework and Linux OS.

Familiar in DSP concepts.

Good trouble- shooting skills with analysis and debugging ability.

The candidate should have excellent analytical and problem solving skills Hands- on experience with on- target development and debugging in embedded environment Familiarity with Vodafone/ ATT/ TMOUS carrier spec, tuning and analysis is a plus.

Education Requirements Required: Bachelors or Masters degree in Electronics and Communications engineering.

Preferred Qualifications 2 to 6 years of Experience with Qualcomm voice and audio algorithms tunings.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.

OR

Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.

OR

PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

• 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

• 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with debugging techniques.
