The Associate, Oriental Insurance is primarily responsible of enter the data in Unified Policy Issuance Title system for the policy issuance of the Oriental Mortgage, Loss Mitigation and Legal Service business for Oriental Insurance. Ensure that all documents necessary to issue the title insurance policy are obtained and on file before submission for issuance within stablish guidelines. Position will be working on-site from Oriental Center building, San Juan, PR.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Complete, analyze, scan, and file all property related documentation such as closing disclosure, title search, debt, and value certificate (CRIM), evidence of cancelation of liens, documentation of domain, plot plan, etc. and attach them to the operational system (UPI Title).
Support the personnel of the Mortgage Department, Loss Mitigation and Legal Service department in the completion and analysis of required documentation to issue the title insurance policy.
Enter data in UPI Title for policy issuance and endorsements and Direct Bill in a timely manner.
Maintain all the escrow files and checks in an organized manner.
Follow up to units for documents needed to issue title policies.
Supports Oriental Insurance on projects, administrative and clerical duties with emphasis on insurance titles area.
Other duties may be assigned.
Minimum Requirements
Associate degree or technical certificate in Office, Business Administration or related field required
Two (2) years of experience as closing officer, mortgage assistant or in the insurance industry and/or in an insurance agency, required. Banking experience required.
Minimum education and experience required can be substituted with the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities.
Knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), required.
Excellent communication skills, customer service, and the ability to work collaboratively and effectively with diverse staff, colleagues, and clients.
Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish with a demonstrated ability to write communications clearly, concisely, and effectively required.
