  Description

  Emory Law welcomes qualified, future-focused institutional research professionals to apply for its Associate Director of Decision Support (Decision Support Analyst, Lead) position. The chosen candidate will join the institutional research department to work collaboratively and proactively with faculty, staff, and other stakeholders to continue to improve the use of data in decision making as well as the reporting of data for the school of law. As a subject matter expert on data management, the Associate Director of Decision Support is knowledgeable of accreditation standards, university policy, and best practices while creating solutions (such as dashboards), working cross functionally with data stewards, and providing information to internal and external constituents. This position requires strong organizational and time-management skills, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to learn quickly in a detailed-oriented environment. The organizational structure of the school of law includes a senior director of decision support and data management to whom this position reports.

  JOB DESCRIPTION:

  Leads decision support services while functioning as a project manager, coordinating project resources to ensure on-time, on-budget, high-quality, successful project deliverables.

  Works with clients to develop project plans, coordinate team resources, and produce exceptional analytical projects that provide actionable information to key stakeholders in easy-to-understand formats.

  Deliverables include summary reports and studies as well as business intelligence dashboards.

  Provides support to the Chief Business Officer to develop and maintain decision support.

  Analyze diverse data sets including preparation and communication of analytical and narrative reports that translate data results into strategic advice.

  Provide data management support by coordinating data collection processes essential for maintaining data integrity.

  Utilize high level expertise to create analytic dashboards and graphical representations to present data into easily consumable content.

  May supervise teams in a cross-functional environment.

  Performs related responsibilities as required.

  MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  A bachelor's degree and five years of related experience including data management and analysis or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  A master's degree in analytics, social or behavioral sciences,

  An understanding of legal or graduate education, and

  Experience with SPSS, PeopleSoft, Unite, and Project Management.

  Experience querying and analyzing datasets.

  Experience using business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, etc.) to transform data into relevant information for use by others.

  Demonstrated ability to prioritize and handle various projects with attention to detail in a deadline-oriented environment.

  Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.

  Possess a team-oriented mindset with demonstrated ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and senior administration.

  TO APPLY:

  Applicants will be considered on a rolling basis until the position is filled with a first review on January 29.

  First round zoom interviews occur in early February.

  Final round in-person interviews occur in mid-February.

  The position will ideally start in March.
