Job Summary: Progressive Pipe is seeking a second shift Assistant Supervisor for the Fire Fabrication Shop in Brea, CA. In this position, you will manage a shift of approximately 5-6 employees ensuring production and quality requirements are met while maintaining the safest working environment possible.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for working with Engineering teams to get proper work scheduled for the shop
Responsible for 3 shift Supervisors and reporting directly to the Shop Manager
Delegate work as needed to each shift in the Fabrication Shop with Shop Manager
Responsible for trucks being loaded and being ready to go out on time
Coordinate with Superintendents for jobs
Communicate with field employees throughout job sites
Will need to train all new employees as this will be a brand-new location
Other duties assigned
Qualifications:
3-5 years of supervisory experience
Production or manufacturing experience preferred.
Organize and prioritize appropriately
Strong work ethic and commitment to our customers
Strong communication skills both written and verbal
Must be highly organized and possess good time management abilities to prioritize workload
Display a professional, positive, and respectful attitude to co-workers, supervisors, customers, and vendors
Knowledge of Excel, Word & other Microsoft Office products
Read a tape measure down to a ¼”.
Must be 18 years or older
Ability to push, pull, or lift up to 50 lbs regularly
Ability to stand, bend, twist, and walk for 8-12 hour shifts
Ability to pass a drug test
