  Assistant Professor of Labor History in the Department of Global Labor and Work

  The Department invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in U.S. labor and working-class history to begin August 2024. We are interested in social and political historians whose scholarship engages questions of work, inequality, the economy, or political and working-class cultures. We define labor history very broadly, including both free and unfree forms of labor as well workers' experiences in their jobs, organizations, and/or communities, or how their labor intersects with questions of citizenship, class, race/ethnicity, indigeneity, disability, and gender and sexuality, among other possible areas of inquiry. Some background in comparative non-US history is a plus but is not necessary. Candidates must demonstrate excellence in scholarly research and teaching.

  Salary range $76,200.00 - $211,000.00; ILR School's hiring offer for this position may be higher depending on education, experience, discipline, and relevant skills.
