Since 1905, The Bradley Center has continually served children and families in need. Today, the residential treatment facility provides 24 hour care and trauma-informed treatment to children who have a history of trauma and who may present with a wide range of challenges.
Treatment is conducted by multi-disciplinary teams that operate under the direction and supervision of a medical director who is a board certified psychiatrist. Intensive treatment plans direct the individualized treatment of each child. The Bradley Center follows the Sanctuary model of Trauma Informed Care.
We are seeking a motivated Assistant Nurse Manager with a high level of compassion and willingness to serve as a role model to residents, families and co-workers. The Assistant Nurse Manager is a valued part of the clinical team that delivers medical and psychotherapeutic care through assessment, planning and intervention.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assist with managing a productive nursing department while promoting cooperation and teamwork
Identify and provide appropriate level of care and planning for both medical and psychiatric needs
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings
Administer medications and monitor for side effects
Effectively communicate with coworkers, psychiatrists and pediatrician
Provide ongoing education for clients and staff
Coordinate administration of vaccines through the VFC program
Candidates are able to work a flexible schedule of shifts both 6a-2p and 2p-10p and cover on-call nursing shifts.
Requirements
Candidate must be a graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing and have a current PA nursing license
One year experience working in a psychiatric setting is preferred but not required
Excellent communication skills, professional demeanor, sound judgement, and strong organizational skills
Willingness to work collaboratively along with the capacity to work independently
Must have a strong work ethic and a desire to excel
