Job Summary
The job plans and executes the institution\'s campaign for annual giftsupport from all constituents, including alumni, and solvesstraightforward problems as they arise.
Responsibilities
Ensures effective execution of development operations to meetphilanthropic goals, including: leading fundraising meetings,meeting regularly with research teams, overseeing salesforce datamanagement and quality.Expands and diversifies IEL donor base and pipeline and worksclosely with leadership and other senior team members to securefunding for new initiatives.Implements a comprehensive development strategy; manages a portfolioof donors and prospects; cultivates and advances successfulrelationships to secure gifts from individual donors; develops andimplement stewardship activities aimed at cultivating deeper tieswith donors.Collaborates with staff at University of Chicago Alumni Relationsand Development and the Harris School of Public Policy to identifyand qualify prospective donors.Supports the External Affairs Director by attending IEL events.Work closely with IEL Finance team to transition grantadministration upon award, including updating proposed budget tomatch Notice of Grant Award.Support the development of the Inclusive Economy Lab\'s Supporter\'sCircle.Contributes to the planning and implementation of programs toidentify, visit, and solicit alumni, parents, and otherconstituencies within an assigned geographical region for gifts tomeet fundraising goal. Does this with a moderate level of guidanceand direction.Ensures quality control when monitoring various marketing channelsby developing a targeted strategy for solicitation and marketingmaterials as well as campaign appeals, solving a range ofstraightforward problems as they arise.Performs other related work as needed.Minimum Qualifications

Previous experience in a decentralized environment.Previous experience with various University electronic systems,including grant, finance and purchasing system experience (e.g.Concur).Demonstrated experience working with communities that haveexperienced segregation and disinvestment.First generation college students and those with lived experience incommunities experiencing poverty and disinvestment are encouraged toapply.Technical Skills or Knowledge:
Proven ability with software applications and databases.High level of ?uency in word processing, presentation, andspreadsheet software (e.g. MS Of?ce, inclu ing Word, Excel,PowerPoint and Outlook), particularly Microsoft Excel.Preferred Competencies
