Our client is a leading manufacturing company dedicated to delivering high-quality products to their customers. They are seeking a skilled and experienced Plant Controller to join their tenured and talented accounting team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in financial management, reporting, and analysis for their manufacturing plant.
Job Summary:
As the Plant Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of their manufacturing operations. This includes budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. You will work closely with the plant management team to drive financial performance and contribute to the overall success of the plant.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning and Analysis:
Develop and manage the plant budget, ensuring alignment with overall company financial goals.
Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Cost Management/ Cost Accounting
Monitor and control manufacturing costs, providing insights into cost drivers and recommending cost-saving initiatives.
Work closely with the production team to optimize efficiency and resource utilization.
Financial Reporting:
Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for plant management and corporate headquarters.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Consolidate financial results for multiple plant locations
Forecasting and Planning:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop financial forecasts and strategic plans.
Provide decision support through financial modeling and scenario analysis.
Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure adherence to financial regulations and internal controls.
Identify and mitigate financial risks through proactive analysis and planning.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements in financial and accounting processes.
Implement best practices to enhance financial performance and reporting accuracy.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
Proven experience as a Plant Controller or in a similar financial management role within a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
