Provide support to the head coach in all aspects of the men\'s soccerprogram. Coach and mentor student-athletes in support of their growth asa student-athlete and member of the Middlebury College community.
This is a full-time, benefits eligible, salaried role with a hiringrange of \$38,750-\$47,465.60.
Core Responsibilities
Coach the technical and tactical aspects of soccer in practices andcompetitions.Recruit prospective student-athletes within the rules andregulations of Middlebury, NESCAC and the NCAA.Assist the head coach in preparing for daily practice including butnot limited to developing daily practice plans, and setting up thefield for practice drills as needed.Assist the head coach in preparing for competition including but notlimited to scouting of opponents and developing scouting reportsAssist the head coach with the administration of the programincluding but not limited to travel plans, equipment purchasing, andbudgeting.Mentor and provide support for student-athletes in support of theirdevelopment in the sport as well as in their academics and personaldevelopment.Assist the head coach in developing and delivering programmingrelative to student-athlete development including but not limited tomental health, DEI, leadership, sexual violence prevention, andhazing.Perform other duties as assigned by the head coach or Director ofAthletics in support of the program or department. This may includeevent management, strength and conditioning or teaching requiredclasses in Physical Education.:::::: {ui="job-requirements"}
RequirementsPosition Prerequisites:Bachelor\'s degree required, Master\'s degree preferred.
Experience playing and coaching at the collegiate level preferred.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range ofconstituents through strong interpersonal skills, both written and oral.
Demonstrated commitment to and knowledge of issues of diversity, equityand inclusion.
Excels in organizational skills, computer skills, and able to prioritizemultiple tasks with attention to detail.
Works effectively within a diverse department and team as well asindependently.
Must maintain appropriate certifications in CPR/AED/First Aid and mustcomplete the annual NCAA Division III Rules Test.
Must hold and maintain a valid driver\'s license and if requested acollege vehicle license.
Other:Criminal Background Check Long and irregular hours, including earlymorning, nights and weekends. Long hours in practice that may demandphysical exertion and moving around the practice and competition venues.Extensive travel for recruiting and competitions.
