　　POSITION SUMMARY:

　　Under the day-to-day supervision of the Practice Supervisor, performs a variety of duties including: scheduling, receiving & registering patients, answering telephone & communicating messages. Collects co-pay & posts payments. Collaborates with office team.

　　QUALIFICATIONS:

　　EDUCATION:

　　Minimum:

　　High school or equivalent with a medical terminology knowledge.

　　Computer experience/training.

　　Preferred:

　　Associates degree preferred.

　　LICENSE:

　　PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS:

　　WORK EXPERIENCE:

　　Minimum:

　　2 years medical secretary experience supporting an office preferred.

　　Preferred:

　　Healthcare, physician practice and/or dermatology experience.

　　SKILLS:

　　Minimum:

　　Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and ability to deal with the people in a professional and courteous manner.

　　Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling.

　　Excellent interpersonal, communication and organization skills.

　　Computer literacy.

　　Preferred :

　　Experience with Microsoft Office products and electronic medical record.
