　　Apprentice Electroplating TechnicianDue to continued increased demand, Penn United Technologies, Inc. is hiring immediately for full-time Apprentice Electroplating Technicians to work at our rapidly growing Plating facility. If you are interested in starting a career that offers on-the-job training as well as the opportunity to advance as your skills do, then a career in Electroplating could be for you.  This position starts at $18.00/hour and requires the ability to regularly rotate daylight, afternoon and midnight shifts with a 10% shift differential OR be able to work a steady afternoon or a steady midnight shift with a 15% shift differential.Penn United provides work that challenges you, training and career opportunities to advance you, and an amazing benefit compensation program that rewards you.Responsibilities:Work on the plating shop floor in order to learn required job tasksRequired attendance in our in-house apprenticeship classes (paid your hourly rate while attending classes -held on site one afternoon per week typically from 2:00-4:00 pm)Manage the activities of the plating parts, including setup and maintenance of the lines, plating and inspection of the parts, and the preparation of parts for shippingStrive to keep setup and maintenance time to a minimumMaintain job tracking systemEnsure that chemical inventories are adequately maintained at all times and that orders are properly filedFollow all safety and quality plansStudy the production schedule and estimate the requirements for completing an order efficiently and effectivelyRotate, on a weekly basis, from daylight, afternoon and midnight shifts OR work a steady afternoon or a steady midnight shiftQualifications:Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalentTechnical, mechanical and math abilityAttention to detail and ability to prioritizeAble to work as part of a teamAble to work daylight, afternoon, and midnight rotating shifts OR prefer to work a steady afternoon or a steady midnight shiftAble to lift 50 lbs., and stand and walk for 8 hoursCompensation and Benefits :  Penn United Technologies currently employs over 700 people in our employee-owned precision manufacturing company located in Butler County.  We offer an outstanding array of employee benefits that reflect our commitment to the health and financial well-being of our employee-owners, including:COMPETITIVE STARTING WAGE WITH THE OPPORTUNITY FOR PAY INCREASES EVERY 6 MONTHS DURING OUR 3 YEAR IN-HOUSE CERTIFICATE PROGRAM
