PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT Operates commercialequipment for the purpose of applying fertilizer and herbicides,operates and maintains CDL Vehicles and other equipment, seasonallyworks in grain and warehouse operations, and performs all job functionsin a timely and accurate manner to increase customer satisfaction.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Applies fertilizers and pesticides to athletic,commercial, municipal, and residential areas according to recommendedrates, procedures, and following all pesticide labels. Recordsapplication data according to regulations and standards. Sets upmaterial handling, blending, storage, transport and applicationequipment for blending and delivery of products. Blends productsaccording to recommended rates and procedures. Demonstrates knowledge ofand the ability to safely operate sprayers, single or tandem axle trucksand other equipment to meet company and DOT standards Performs andrecords daily safety checks of assigned vehicle(s) and associatedequipment by conducting pre-trip inspections, such as checking fuel andoil levels, inspecting tires, lights, and brakes. Loads and unloadscontainers, pallets, or materials and products, safely on/off trucks ortrailers. Ensures products are evenly balanced and distributed ontrucks/trailers and proper axle weights are met. Maintains inventorycontrol and turns in application records on a daily basis. Assures allproduct is accounted for with either an invoice or delivery ticket.OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS Responsible for maintaining, repairing, rebuilding,and/or servicing location equipment, vehicles, and structures as neededSeasonally will work in warehouse and grain handling operations.Collects/records soil sample information using proper procedures.Follows GROWMARK\'s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program,Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures,as they apply.
