About APAC Accountant

  SUMMARY OF POSITION:

  Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager APAC, the APAC Accountant will be responsible for overseeing all accounting tasks and analysis related to our APAC business operations. This includes maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledgers; reporting budget vs. actuals for the APAC business unit; and supporting the sales and operations teams within this region.

  KEY Responsibilities:

  Promotes the World Wide Technology Core Values and Corporate GoalsSupport a unified management team that balances operations and cultureEmbrace and master the concepts of the Integrated Management and Leadership principles driven by World Wide Technology

  Deliver Operational Excellence through:Ensure compliance with international statutory regulationsBudget, forecast, and analyze assigned areas and accountsAssist with international entity audits and tax returnsOversee reconciliation and analysis of intercompany balancesBe familiar with foreign currency accounting and analyze foreign exchange differencesPerform monthly account analysis and ensure accuracy and completenessSupport financial operations (collections, disbursements, payroll, etc.) as needed

  Qualifications:

  Degree in accounting or equivalent requiredAdvanced degree/certification (ACCA, CPA, etc.) preferred3-5 years progressive experience in accountingExperience with US/non-US multinationals is preferredFluent in English and at least one other Asian language, both written and verballyCombination of public accounting and strong business partner/advisor experience in a commercial environment is preferredExperience establishing new legal entities in APAC region is a plusExperience with Oracle ERP and Hyperion Reporting are a plusExposure to information technology industry is a plusProficient in the use of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)Willing and able to travel in APAC and to the US
