The AP AR Manager is responsible for direct oversight and management ofall the customers financial processes related to transportation cost.The manager is responsible for the oversight of the AP processes alongwith being responsible for the account receivable processes related tothe customers account. Performs financial analysis to identify keytrends that can help improve the process. Leading customer meetingsproviding insights to their transportation spend.
What the Candidate Will Do
Oversee the Accounts Payable processes, including auditing carrierinvoices and ensuring accurate and timely payment processing.Direct oversight of the Accounts Receivable processes, ensuringaccurate billing of transportation-related expenses and timely,thorough, and precise billing to customers.Conduct in-depth analysis of accounts to identify financial trendsand root cause issues impacting the AP and AR processes.The Finance Account Manager will need to lead customer calls andprovide the customer with a visual update that gives visibility intotheir business and accrual accuracy.Lead and develop a high-performing team, providing guidance andsupport to achieve departmental goals and objectives.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes andimplement best practices for AP and AR functions.Maintain strong relationships with internal stake holders, vendors,carriers, and customers to ensure smooth and accurate processing ofcarrier invoices and accurate and timely customer billing.They conduct employee evaluations to enhance their performance,development, and work product.Collaborate on development, maintenance and improvement of AP/ARsystems and processes.Manage overall customer financial health related to transportationspend.Develop new policies, process improvements, and implements changeswithin their function.Develop and report Key Performance Indicators on SLAs with a focuson providing higher quality service as well as transparency to theinternal customersCollaborate with internal and external parties (Carriers, Customers,Operations, Carrier Procurement, Sales, Carrier Pricing, Onboarding,IT, Accounts Receivable) to identify/eliminate obstacles, createefficiencies, increase automation, and enable issue resolution)Interact with various staff, at all levels as required, to meetstrategic objectives.Develop leadership skills in others by coaching, mentoring,knowledge sharing and reinforcing best practices.Conduct research, reporting analysis and special projects asrequested.Basic Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree in related field ORHigh School diploma or GED equivalent, with minimum 2 years inFinance or Supply Chain and LogisticsPreferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Accounting Principles and Freight Payment Terminology
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Tools and other applications:Ability to leverage Excel and other MS programs, including Outlook,Skype, etc.
Knowledge of the Oracle or Comparable ERP System, specifically,Accounts Payable module(s)
Ability to create PowerPoint Slides and present on a SeniorLeadership, Customer, or Carrier Level
Experience with process improvement and implementation of bestpractices in AP and AR processes.
